New Year New Goal!
It’s new year so we are all looking ahead to the future. I know I am! What we would like to achieve, new resolutions, changes we want to make to make ourselves happier. Bring more joy to our lives.
Is there a little voice in the back of your head saying, “but you never stick to your resolutions!” That is because change is hard!!! It is difficult creating a new habit. Did you know that it takes the brain on average 66 times before the new behaviour becomes a habit!! keep that in mind when trying to make a change!
If your current habit is sitting in your pjs eating Christmas food (like me!) and you want to get moving, think about not setting your goal to be “go for to the gym every day!” try “go the gym once a week for a month”. Make your goals achievable. Write them down where you can see it! Schedule it in your diary! Give yourself a reward when you’ve taken steps towards completing it!

What do I want to achieve?
I want to sing pop / classical/ blues / jazz music
I want to improve my mental health
I want it to be a creative outlet
I want to perform
I want to sing along when I play an instrument
How do I digest information?
What kind of learner are you? Visual, auditory, or kinetic? Do you want a teacher? instructional YouTube videos? Do you learn through reading books/articles?
When am I available?
How much time have you got? How much time can you give your new habit Daily / weekly / fortnightly / monthly
What do I want to spend?
Nothing? Cost is irrelevant? Pay a weekly /monthly fee?
